Our contributions may seem inconsequential, but our commitment to action is what matters.
Prior to the introduction of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), We had already initiated actions to address environmental concerns. Our initial motivation was inspired by the film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, which We watched during my childhood. It highlighted the fact that we are all inhabitants of this planet, and that our actions have a direct impact on the environment.
It is possible that our impact on the world may be insignificant when viewed on a global scale. We are aware of this and have come to accept it.
Even so, for example, when your young child sorts out and throws away plastic bottles, you wouldn't say "there's no point in doing that." You would probably tell them "you've made good use of an important resource." Seeing this, their friends would do the same, and then their friends next to them would follow suit. I believe that, at a fundamental level, people are aware of the collective impact of individual actions can be significant.
We believe that, small and medium-sized companies like ours can still make a valuable contribution to the world and to the people around us, even if only in a small way, by identifying potential areas for improvement, taking action, and communicating our ideas.
VITABRID JAPAN is committed to sustainability, including nature conservation and biodiversity. We aim to achieve "nature-positive economy" management, which will contribute to a sustainable society by expanding possibilities through our core business.
The Sustainable Cycle Supplement® concept is a collaborative effort with our customers to create a sustainable future.
For instance, in the case of healthy food products that use fish, the unused parts of the fish are refined (upcycled) to a purity that is beneficial to the body, and then commercialized. A share of the proceeds are reinvested in the preservation of the marine environment and fish stocks, creating a sustainable cycle.
"Tomorrow's opening with the power of nature".
We also continue to donate to the Nature Conservation Society of Japan.
The Sustainable Cycle Supplement® concept is a project that allows us to give back to the sea and land that provide the products our customers have come to love, by using a portion of the sales from these products.
By creating a system that helps create a better cycle for the future, the more products we make and the more our customers buy, we aim to achieve a sustainable future together with our customers.

We provide a place where you can learn through hands-on experience, in touch with nature.
Since 2019, there has also been a focus on social learning activities through hands-on experiences, such as the Children's Cafe, which provide meals and food education opportunities, and the Beach Cleanup Activity, which through fun cleans up the beaches.
Even in beautiful seas, a lot of litter washes up on the shore, and this has become a serious environmental problem. To help children understand the importance of nature, we hold "beach clean-ups*". The children and families who participated in these activities have said that they have been given the opportunity to think for themselves and take action through hands-on experience, and these activities have been highly praised by local governments.
50 bags x 30 times = 1,500 bags collected.
A 45-liter garbage bag can hold 90 500ml PET bottles, so we collected 1,500 bags x 90 bottles = about 135,000 bottles in total.
Uses FSC®-certified materials that take into account the sustainability of forests
By choosing products that are labeled "FSC® certified", consumers can choose products that have been produced in an ethical manner that respects forest stocks, the rights of local communities and indigenous peoples, and the rights of workers.
We will continue to strive to create products that are easy to use, while responding to the needs of customers who want to choose and use environmentally friendly products.
Switching to environmentally friendly packaging
-
We are also constantly working to reduce the amount of paper we use, although this is basic.
Based on customer feedback such as "It's packaged in a large cardboard box which doesn't seem very environmentally friendly", we are constantly improving our service and becoming more environmentally friendly. -
The plastic insoles have been replaced with paper ones, and the box size has been made more compact.
